Thank you Flowood!

Kathy Smith was sworn in as the third Mayor in Flowood's history on June 30, 2025. Kathy was honored to serve Flowood for 16 years as a dedicated member of the Board of Aldermen. Now, as Mayor, she brings that same commitment and experience to lead our city into its next chapter.

A proud Flowood resident since 2006, Kathy has long believed in serving with integrity, listening to residents, and making thoughtful decisions that move our community forward. 

As Mayor, she is focused on building strong infrastructure, supporting public safety, enhancing quality of life, and attracting vibrant economic development—all while preserving the hometown feel that makes Flowood special.

She looks forward to working alongside the Board of Aldermen, city staff, and the people of Flowood to shape a bright and sustainable future for all.
